Officials are suggesting that residents surround Mandatory Evacuation Zones should continue preparing for the possibility of future evacuations. Also, please limit the use of your cell phones so lines are open for all urgent calls and communication needs.

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007They are now predicting that the winds will shift to onshore tomorrow afternoon. This means that the fires will switch direction and move towards the east. Firefighters have been preparing the backlines of the fire for this change of wind direction. They are concerned that these backlines may become the new frontlines of the firestorm if the areas are not prepared to handle the wind shifts.
